Electro mechanical map switching option

Over the years Unichip performance chips have evolved and the natural progression was to develop the software to such a extent, to offer different map options within performance chips on Unichip programmable computers. The new revised Uni Q chip has enabled us through very extensive R&D to attach a 5 way electrical switch which allows the vehicle owner to switch at leisure between anyone of 5 different map options. The most common map switching option would generally be standard – high altitude and sea level. The switch is small and can be hidden or be visible in the vehicles dash area. It can be attached with a reversible velcro plaster to minimize any visual scars if and when removed.

Blue tooth map switching – under development

Much the same as the conventional electrical map switching blue tooth which is in the final testing stage of the development process will enable map switching using blue tooth technology on Unichip programmable computers. It will eventually be possible to switch between different maps with a cellular telephone or any simple blue tooth enabled device

The all new 370z sneak peak

The all-new Nissan 370Z is still a good six months away from an official reveal, but thanks to our illustration and now a shot of the car from a presentation, we shouldn’t be too surprised when the car finally takes its place on the Nissan stand. As previously speculated, the newest Z will receive a headlight treatment similar to the design seen on the 2009 Maxima.

Overall, the 370Z — which is being developed under the code name C53D — appears to keep the same general shape as the current 350Z. However, the front headlights — which will reportedly

use LEDs — are much more dramatic than the current car’s and can be clearly seen in our illustration and the leaked image. The rear also seems to be a bit stubbier, with a sharper crease along the trailing edge of the hatch.

The 370Z is expected to use the same VQ37VHR powerplant found in the Infiniti G37 — a V6 displacing 3.7L — delivering at least 330 horsepower.

December of 2006, Nissan product planning VP Larry Dominique said the next-generation Z would “have considerably more performance than the current model and give a visual stimulus beyond today’s Z.” He said it would continue to deliver on the promise of being attainable to a wide range of people.

Expect to see the all-new Z at the 2008 Los Angeles Auto Show in November.

Say good bye to Nissan 350Z!

The Z car will finally get a real update / redesign for the 2009 model year. Nissan will officially show the 2009 370Z at the LA Auto Show in November, so we have a while to wait. However, this image is supposed to provide a pretty good idea of what the new Z will look like. The name change, of course, refers to the new powerplant. Replacing the trusty 3.5 liter V6 is the 3.7 liter V6 from the Infiniti G37. More horsepower, more torque = the win. The new Z will also be shorter by about 4 inches, and a bit wider. Maybe with the width increase they can put the freaking seat controls on the outside of the seats where they belong.

If the picture is pretty accurate, then I say right on. There’s no question that it’s a Z, but it does look fresher and more modern than the current Z. Good job on design, good job on hardware. Now maybe we’ll get lucky and Nissan will put the Z on a 500 lb diet. Oh to dream.
