- The event is aligned with "Brunei Tell a Friend" & the "UN Decade of Action" to reduce road accident deaths
- Please make time to attend with your friends / family if you are free
- There will be many indoor and outdoor demonstrations, booths, displays and activities

Event:
Road Safety 2012 (Saving Lives on Brunei's Roads)
Date / Time:
Saturday 9th June 2012, 10:00 am to 4:30 pm
Location:
Pusat Insani, Seria (indoors in the hall and outdoors in the car parks) and also OGDC and the area between the two for various activities and displays (see maps).
VVIP:
The event will be opened by Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Masna binti Al-Marhum Sultan Haji 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Ambassador-at-Large at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade also Patron of the National Road Safety Council.
Roads and Parking:
There will be a diversion around Jalan Tengah towards Seria for normal traffic - the road outside Pusat Insani will be closed to traffic for the day.
Event traffic will be diverted to left of Jalan Tengah and around the rear of OGDC. This area will operate a one-way system. Parking will be to the rear of OGDC. Parking in a designated area / tyre check area will entitle a raffle entry to prize draw. Parking elsewhere will not.
Security will guide you in where to park. There will be several shuttle buses taking the public from designated parking areas to Pusat Insani and OGDC.

Participants:
Participants include BSJV companies and many others such as: Astrata, Jasra, TyreMart, Halliburton, Brunei Shell Marketing, Boustead Sdn Bhd, Setia Motors, Megamas, Land Transport Department, National Road Safety Council, Women in Focus Network, Ministry of Communications, Narcotics Control Bureau, Fire & Rescue Department, BSP Bomba, BSP Security, Jabatan Kerja Raya, Royal Brunei Police Force, Weatherford, Brunei Tell-a-Friend, Champion Technologies, Schlumberger, Baker Hughes, British Forces Brunei Garrison, GHK Motors Sdn Bhd, CHSEN - Construction HSE Network, 24/7.
Activities:
There will be several SKID demonstrations, an Emergency Response Demonstration, Traffic Games, the Amazing Road Race, colouring contest for kids, 2 seat belt Convincers, Spot the Hazard booths, free tyre checks and information, tyre change activities, motor vehicle displays, posters, information and much more.
Gifts and Prizes:
Some of the booths and activites will have small gifts and prizes to be awarded throughout the day. In addition regular Lucky Draws (raffles) will be held throughout the day. Entry to the Lucky Draws will be by visiting booths or taking part in activites, for which raffle tickets will be issued.
Prizes for the lucky draw include: $500BND tyre vouchers, child car seats, defensive driving courses, car parks (including fire extinguisher, first aid kit, torch, visibilty vest, warning triangle) and cycling sets (including helmet, gloves, water bottle, front and rear light and pump).
